Resource Pack custom leave button

you know how servers like wynncraft and cubecraft have a custom leave icon with their resourcepack like "Leave Cubecraft" or whatever, is it possible to make that with your own texture pack or do you need like a plugin or something? If so can someone please show me the process in how to do something like that.
