Animated 3D model

I asked this first when the new resoursepack changes ushered in, but it was relatively new and no one answered any where.
There are so many options with resoursepacks now, can I made a 3d animated model that cycles between different models with a vanilla resoursepack? Preferably on 1.21.4 but if it only works on 1.21.5 that's fine.
(I know I can with a datapack & resoursepack but I just wanna ask if it's possible for convenience)
