Help with converting java to bedrock. Custom model data

According to this tutorial. These custom items should be possible in some form. 
But Im having trouble getting this pack to convert.
Im not sure if bedrock formating limitations. Do all of these file need to be integrated into the minecraft folder. The converter seems to think there nothing in the pack
There are ALOT of files. Im not sure if theres an upper limit on bedrock for what im trying to do
