Any way to fix this?

I like having this outer border in my various inventories.
As far as I understand right now, this texture is taken from assets\minecraft\textures\gui\container\generic_54, taking a slice out of it to fit, but it removes part of the border. Is there any way to fix it? New texture? Alterations to a .json?
