How to make custom paintings by changing the texture?

I have some random images from my PC I want to use as Minecraft paintings, I already have a custom resourecpack in my adventure map for sounds and it works. This is my first time doing textures though, I went to misode and got the template folders set up, texture > painting. Now how do I import the images I want to make sure they work?
