Resources for Total Newbie

Like the title says I'm a total newbie looking to figure out where to start, so I was hoping someone could point me in the direction of some useful resources for learning how to do anything, preferably up-to-date. I know a little bit about pack structure and JSON through osmosis but that's about it. I'm ideally hoping to mess around with custom items and enchantments, so anything geared in those directions is helpful but general starting resources are appreciated.
