Detect right clicking a dragon egg with a book and quill

I need to detect right clicking a dragon egg, I think I might be able to do it using the dragon egg used statistic but before that is there a simpler way e.g. using advancements that I havn't thought of? Using scoreboards is a bit more annoying
I'm imagining that once I detect the dragon egg being right clicked it will be straight forward to detect the book and quill.
