Right click detection with consumable component infinite times on single item

Is it possible to create an item with the consumable component and detection via advancement that can do it an infinite amount of times?
I tried to increase the time it takes to consume it to basically infinite, but then the advancement didn't trigger.
I feel like i'm missing something really easy that i just didn't find so far.
