Hungry System
ok so i want to make a hunger system for any animal that is passive or neutral OR that is breedable in 1.20.1, what are some essential things i need to learn for this datapack? i have never made a datapack before
here are some of the features planned
-all passive/neutral/breedable mobs have a hunger bar of 100/100 -if a passive/neutral/breedable mob's hunger goes under 40, then it produces smoke particles + gains the weakness and slowness effect -if a passive/neutral mob's hunger goes under 20, it gains the poison effect I once
-a passive/neutral/breedablemob must be fed at least once a day and can be fed up to 3 times with a 5 min cooldown inbetween each feeding, with the item cleared from the players inventory -hunger decreases by 10 each minecraft day -each mob i add has different diets: a cat can only be fed fish and a cow or sheep can only be fed grass -each mob i add also has specific foods it likes that doubles the hunger gain, a cats favorite food would be salmon or a cow's favorite food would be wheat or carrots and specific food it dislikes and barely restores hunger, a cat would dislike grass and a cow would dislike meat -to make it optional, it should only affect mobs the player has right-clicked with a specific item (for example a copper ingot)
what would i need to learn (or practice) before attempting to make this datapack? also any tips (in general) on making a datapack less performance heavy?
