Item models & Item display…

Hey I’m currently making a lucky block datapack for 1.21.4. I wonder if it’s possible to use item models on item display entities…
If not, I can always use custom model data but, I would like to know if there’s a way to do it with item models.
(Ps: I’m not sure if should ask this in the resource pack channel so tell me.)
