Cheat Death 1.21.4

Can you make it so a dead player respawns in the exact same spot where they died if they press respawn in the next 2 seconds? That's just the idea right now, but I'm looking for an item that applies a tag to you once and if you die with that tag you get to cheat death once like a totem of undying (not neccesarily the totem effect just not dying)
