Using custom items(with components) to craft another item(with components)

I want to make a crafting recipe where you use a special item with a certain component to craft another special item. I tried doing this with misode but i found out that there are is no components for you to add in the ingredients. I thought it wasn't possible but im just creating this post to make sure.
