item replaced elytra model not showing up (1.21.5)

I have this command: item replace entity @s armor.chest with minecraft:elytra[minecraft:enchantments={binding_curse:1},equippable={slot:chest},minecraft:unbreakable={},custom_data={wings:true}] 1
For some reason, the elytra isn't showing up - as in, when you look at the player with elytra, you can't see the elytra. Does anyone know why this is or how to fix it?
