dash distance issue

hellooo so i made a dash in a datapack that when you run for a while and then tap sneak you get  a long dash/jump, however when i use it and my friend uses it the distance in the dashes is really different even though it shouldnt be, does anyone know why this happens? i can send the commands if needed
