How to set block of "Structure Block" with data in it and activate? (Used for such as map, minigame)

Hello, I was wondering how to activate the structure block as placed down. I did tried use data get block ~ ~-1~ on the structure block but I tried to setblock and it didn't work. Although, I wasn't sure if it is possible to make structure block place down as it is activated automatically. Maybe only work with command block. But I'd like to know, please do give guide so I can figure out somehow.
