Large Biome compatibility

So this is less on making my own DP but more on editing an existing one. There is a mod/DP called Tectonic tweaks that i adore using. The problem is, it only works on normal worlds. Selecting large biomes disables its functions entirely. Ive tried informing the initial dev of this, but i havent gotten a response or seen any updates for a while. I figured id try my hand at editing it myself for personal user, but i have 0 idea where to start. Has anyone faced this when making there own? at this point, ill take anything just as a starting point for further research.
