im making snow ball gun

so im trying to make a snow ball gun but ive run into 2 problems.
1- I dont know how to summon the snow ball in motion in the direction im looking ive tried Motion:[1.0,0.0,0.0] but it hasnt worked
2- I dont know how to make the snowball detect when its touching the player
i could really use some help rn
