Result Item NBTs in Custom Recipes for 1.20.4

Good day! Is it possible to add custom_model_data in the resulting item for a custom recipe in 1.20.4? I know its possible in 1.21 through the use of components but I can't seem to find a fix for 1.20.4. Any ideas?
