Recipe with placeholder items and custom data.

Im trying to make a custom recipe for Burger and Fries I have already created the recipe for The burger, and the fries. Which both use a poisonous potato. And they both have a corresponding custom_data Is it possible to create such a recipe without letting poisonous potatos be used, and only the ''correct items'' Thanks in advance!
