Spawning mobs in an area without spawners(1.20.1)

Is it possible to spawn mobs that have their nbt changed completely in certain areas while you have mob spawning disabled? Im trying to get them to spawn in those areas without using spawners since if i wanted to cover a large area, i'd have to place a ton of spawners. On the other hand, I dont want these mobs to spawn anywhere else.
