Trying make deepslate tools using cobbled deepslate

I am trying to make deepslate tools, and I would like to use cobbled deepslate, as it is consistent with cobblestone making stone tools. However, the base stone tool recipes use <"tag": "minecraft:stone_tool_materials"> in the base recipe, which includes cobbled deepslate. I am wondering if there is a way to remove it from that list, as I cannot find it.
