Making item not placeable at all or/and not usable in it's crafting recipes

I basically looking to add some custom items in minecraft server and I previously used petrified_oak_slab, is it possible to use item components to make it not placeable. Or perhaps it is possible to make item not work in recipe as ingredient?(I assume no cause they added nbt support of crafting result, but not ingredients in 1.21, but still I hope). Or perhaps you guys can suggest me other item that can not be place nor used in crafting that I could disable rest of it's default funcitonality. Perhaps some food item or smth?
