Problem: can't enter ender dimension

So when i created a world months ago i had better end installed, looks like it was making a problem with another mod and axes wouldnt do any effect when cutting wood, so me and my friend we took it out, just to find out months later that we couldnt get in the end portal, it is generated, but when we jump in, we just go thru and nothing happens, i was wondering if someone could help, we stopped playing and is a world that i'd like to continue since I love it and it was far from done, thanks ❤️
I dont mind jumping in vc if that makes everything easier feel free to do so !
