Making particles that follow the player

Hello, I saw this YouTube video of a guy beating Minecraft in a straight line and he had a datapack installed, unfortunately in newest version particles showing where is the line got deleted and the developer doesn’t have a save.
So does anyone know how to make this sort of effect? I’m including a screenshot, it’s a indicator that outlines the line the player is on (x=0)
