Trying to modify a datapack

Hi! I am trying to modify a datapack that will copy a preset from moderner beta (a minecraft fabric mod this is dependant on) to another dimension so the overworld remains the same. I have a template given to me by the dev Bluestaggo, and I tried to put the chunk, biome, and cave providers for the beta skylanbds preset instead of the beta 1.7.3 terrain but the datapack fails to apply.
