changing modded recipes

Farmer'sDelight and Miner'sDelight has a cooking pot that has its own recipe category apart from crafting tables and furnaces. There are 2 items that have the same recipe, and friends asked me to try and separate them. But I'm not sure where to start-
If it's possible, can someone give me a point to start at? If it's not, then lmk
