Need help with a sinple recipe change

Hello, i have a datapack that basically just adds some new recipes but i am not able to get them to work properly. 
It uses some modded items that are just not working but when i do a test recipe like a bell to a log or smth it allows that.
Do modded items not work with datapack recipes?
