Pickaxe -> general tool

So goal i have is to be able to break oak logs with a iron pickaxe at the same speed as iron axe would. After that i should be able to generalize it for every other block.
To test if this all works i initially disabled vanilla datapack then copied tags/items/pickaxes tags/items/tools tags/blocks/mineable/pickaxe json files over. Added log to mineable/pickaxe. After all that no tool gave extra speed on anything so tools were straight up not working, enabling vanilla made it act vanilla, so no log dig speed. Do yall know what's up?
