Datapack

Hey, so I had a data pack and it added a custom item, everything seemed to be working with the crafting but the problem was the data pack was doing some weird things. First thing that happened is that the data pack that's paired with the resource pack wasn't working, after that you couldn't see anything that was in your inventory when you joined, I have no idea how to fix it and I really need help, thanks
